Do you like reading?
Yes, I’m definitely a bookworm. I believe that books are a way to not only to escape, but also to gain more knowledge. By the same token, people who read tend to have a richer vocabulary and a higher level of general knowledge. They tend to have more to converse about. What books do you like to read? I’m definitely a fan of fiction. I don’t know why, but I’ve always been more into reading about real-life accounts, self-help books, or biographies rather than far-fetched fantasies or science fiction novels. I know it’s an unpopular opinion, but I’ve never liked Harry Potter or Star Wars.
What book did you recently read?
I recently read a book by a Buddhist monk called How to Love. The book goes over the ways to love someone in a nourishing way, such as giving them freedom and always searching for understanding rather than seeking possession. What did you learn from it? I learned so much from this book. I learned about different meditation techniques and some new ideas on how to define love. After reading this book, I felt in such a deep Zen state. What was your favorite book as a child? I remember being very fond of a book called My Sister’s Keeper. I recall that it was a story of two sisters, one of which needed a kidney transplant. Although the sister was initially apprehensive to do so, she ended up donating a kidney to her sister and saving her.
