Sara: We should get to school faster today. If we take the new shortcut by the park, we might save time. It sounds shorter than the main road, and I really do not want to be late again.
Nima: Okay, I’m in. First, we go straight until the corner, then turn left at the bakery. There is a gate next to it, so that should be easy to spot.
Sara: Right, I see the bakery, but now I’m not sure. Should we go past the bridge or across from the bus stop? I think we may have missed the right turn.
Nima: Hmm, I thought this route was faster, but it already feels longer. Let’s stop and check. There is a small park on the other side, so maybe the bridge was the wrong landmark.
Sara: You’re right. We should change the plan. If we go back to the gate, then turn right, we can follow the main street and avoid getting lost again. That route looks clearer.
Nima: Good idea. Next time, I’ll ask for directions before we try a shortcut. It is better to be a little slower than to walk around in circles and arrive stressed.
Sara: Exactly. Now I can see the school tower, so we are close. After that wrong turn, I’m just glad we figured it out together and did not waste the whole morning.
